Earlier this month, LA artist Robert Vargas invited us to perform at one of his live painting sessions in Downtown Los Angeles. This was part of LA’s famed Thursday night ARTWALK. Robert has been painting at DTLA ARTWALK since it’s inception and has made quite a name for himself as a street artist.
When we met Robert, we discussed the idea of providing a soundtrack for him as he did portraits of Artwalk visitors. It turned out to be an exciting, unpredictable night of art inspiring art. Check out this vid of us playing an instrumental version of “The LA River” through a Fender guitar amp as Robert creates a portrait in real time.
You can find out more about Robert Vargas at his official website.
Hey all you west-siders! We’re coming to your side of town on Tuesday October 4 to play a FREE show with our band. You have no reason to miss this… unless you’re under 21.
